The beginning... — 431 E 19

Welcome to 431. Ditmas Park, Brooklyn

Elissa and I purchased this beauty in July 2017 at the same time we sold 5C (@TurnerTowers - see tt5c.com). It was a difficult process of selling and purchasing homes simultaneously and certainly don't recommend it to anyone - our broker said it could be done but no one told us how anxiety inducing it would be (all the way up to the double closings).

In any case, we both survived and ended up with this beautiful home in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. As far as we can determine, this 3500+ square foot house was built in 1901 (or 1909 by some accounts) and we are only the 4th owners of this home (unbelievable!).

Having gone through a renovation before both Elissa and I thought it would be great to document the process of getting this home back into shape for our family. So here we go!!
