Restored Floors (Part I)
One of the first things we noticed about 431 when we first walked inside the home was how beautiful the floors were. However in most of the rooms you had to look through a layer of "years of grime" and a layer of glossy shellac that seemed inches thick. Given this we decided to sand and buff some of the floors. Our children were away for various summer camps so we took the opportunity to start with the kids rooms and whip them into tip top shape. (We would finish the other parts of home later..)
We hired a great flooring contractor (Jose and co) who did AMAZING work on the Pilo home so we got to work on Leo, Ezra and Sylvie's bedrooms. The results as you can see below are fantastic!!
(Note that the floors in the pictures you see are still wet and therefore LOOK like there is a glossiness to them - don't be fooled)
The results are a beautiful satin look - as if the floors were installed brand new.
Behold!
